Common Pain Points

Why Drone Data Sits Unprocessed

Drone operators and survey firms that capture UAV imagery regularly hit the same bottleneck: the flight is done, the data is collected — but processing it into usable orthomosaics, DEMs, and point clouds requires specialist software and time that most field teams don't have.

Raw Images, No Processed Output

Hundreds of drone images captured on site but no pipeline to process them into georeferenced orthomosaics, elevation models, or point clouds. Data ages while projects wait.

No Processing Hardware or Software

UAV data processing in Agisoft Metashape or Pix4D requires high-end workstations and software licences. Most field teams don't have the infrastructure for large-scale drone image processing in-house.

Accuracy Without GCPs

Processing drone imagery without ground control points produces georeferenced output — but not survey-grade. Managing GCP integration correctly in the photogrammetry workflow requires specialist knowledge.

No Downstream CAD or GIS Output

Photogrammetry processing produces rasters and point clouds — but clients often need contour lines, volume calculations, or as-built CAD drawings that require an additional specialist step most operators can't perform.

Processing Backlog at Peak Season

Survey firms flying multiple sites simultaneously produce more data than their processing team can handle. UAV data processing capacity is the limiting factor — not flight hours.

Output Format Mismatch

Processed photogrammetry output in the wrong format or CRS is unusable for the client. Drone data processing services need to deliver in the format the downstream GIS or CAD workflow actually requires.

What We Do

Office-Based Photogrammetry Processing

We are an office-based photogrammetry processing team. We do not operate drones or conduct aerial surveys. You capture the imagery — we process it into georeferenced orthomosaics, digital elevation models, dense point clouds, and downstream GIS and CAD outputs.

From Raw Images to Georeferenced Deliverables

Aerial photogrammetry services cover the full post-capture processing pipeline: image quality assessment, alignment and tie-point generation, dense point cloud reconstruction, orthomosaic generation, DEM and DSM production, and output in your required format and coordinate reference system. Our commercial photogrammetry services handle datasets from any UAV platform — DJI, senseFly, WingtraOne, Parrot, or custom fixed-wing systems.

Survey-Grade Accuracy from Your Flight Data

UAV data processing accuracy depends on image overlap, GCP distribution, and flight altitude. We assess your dataset before processing begins and advise on achievable accuracy. With well-distributed GCPs and adequate overlap (≥75% frontal, ≥60% lateral), our drone data processing pipelines consistently achieve 2–5cm GSD on orthomosaics and sub-5cm vertical accuracy on DEMs. All outputs include an accuracy report and residual analysis.

Any Camera System, Any Spectral Band

Our drone image processing services handle RGB, multispectral, thermal, and LiDAR-integrated UAV datasets. We process imagery from DJI Phantom, Mavic, and Matrice platforms, senseFly eBee, WingtraOne, and custom systems. Drone imagery processing and multispectral analysis includes NDVI, NDRE, and other vegetation index generation for agricultural and environmental applications. All processing is done in Agisoft Metashape or Pix4D depending on dataset type and client requirement.

From Processed Data to Engineering Deliverables

Our geospatial photogrammetry services extend beyond raster and point cloud delivery. We connect photogrammetric outputs directly to downstream engineering workflows: contour line generation from DEMs, volume calculations from surface models, as-built CAD drawing production from dense point clouds, and GIS layer integration. This bridges the gap between drone data capture and the engineering deliverables your clients actually need.

From Processed Data to Engineering Output

Bridging Photogrammetry Processing and CAD Production

Most photogrammetry services stop at the raster or point cloud stage. The engineering deliverable your client actually needs — a topographic plan, a contour map, a volumetric report in DWG — requires a further specialist step. Our JOT Complex Plugin automates the conversion from processed DEM and point cloud data to drafted topographic CAD plans, eliminating the manual step between photogrammetric output and engineering-ready drawing.

For recurring drone data processing engagements, we build project-specific pipelines that batch-process new image sets and generate standardized outputs automatically — so each new flight produces deliverables in the same format, CRS, and layer structure as the last.

J.O.T Complex Plugin

J.O.T AutoCAD AI Plugin

Generate AutoCAD commands and scripts from plain-language instructions — accelerating repetitive steps in the conversion from processed UAV data to engineering drawings. Works in English and Ukrainian.

Custom Processing Pipelines

Python and PDAL pipelines for batch drone data processing — point cloud classification, DEM generation, contour extraction, and GIS integration — automated end to end for recurring survey programmes.

Why GIS JOT

Photogrammetry Processing Services vs. Processing In-House

Drone operators and survey firms that process data in-house face recurring capacity, software, and delivery format challenges. Our drone data processing services resolve them without capital investment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you fly drones or conduct aerial surveys?

No. We are an office-based photogrammetry processing team — we do not operate UAVs, conduct aerial surveys, or deploy ground control points on site. You capture the imagery using your drone or survey contractor, then send us the raw image files and GCP data. We handle everything from that point: alignment, dense reconstruction, DEM generation, orthomosaic production, point cloud classification, and downstream CAD or GIS output. Our commercial photogrammetry services are processing-only.

What drone image formats and UAV platforms do you accept?

We accept JPEG, RAW/DNG, and TIFF images from any UAV platform — DJI Phantom, Mavic, and Matrice series, senseFly eBee, WingtraOne, Parrot Anafi, Autel EVO, and custom fixed-wing systems. For multispectral drone image processing we accept multi-band TIFF outputs from Micasense RedEdge, Parrot Sequoia, and DJI P4 Multispectral sensors. LiDAR-integrated datasets are accepted in LAS/LAZ format alongside the RGB imagery. We also accept RTK and PPK correction data for improved geolocation accuracy without GCPs.

What accuracy can I expect from drone data processing?

Accuracy depends primarily on flight altitude, image overlap, and GCP quality. With well-distributed GCPs (minimum 5, ideally 8–12 for large sites), adequate overlap (≥75% frontal, ≥60% lateral), and a flight altitude of 80–120m AGL, our UAV data processing pipelines consistently achieve 2–5cm GSD on orthomosaics and sub-5cm vertical RMSE on DEMs. We assess your dataset before processing and provide a pre-processing accuracy estimate. Every delivery includes a full accuracy report with GCP residuals and independent checkpoint verification where checkpoints are provided.

Can you process multispectral or thermal drone imagery?

Yes. Our drone image processing services cover RGB, multispectral (5-band), thermal infrared, and hyperspectral datasets. Multispectral processing includes band alignment, radiometric calibration using reflectance panel imagery, and vegetation index generation — NDVI, NDRE, GNDVI, SAVI — output as single-band GeoTIFFs or stacked multi-band rasters. Thermal processing includes temperature calibration and false-colour output. All multispectral and thermal outputs are georeferenced to the same CRS as the RGB orthomosaic.

Can you deliver topographic CAD drawings from drone survey data?

Yes — this is one of our key differentiators. Most photogrammetry services deliver rasters and point clouds and stop there. Our UAV photogrammetry services extend to full downstream CAD production: contour line generation from DEMs, topographic plan drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D, point cloud to as-built drawing conversion, and GIS vector layer production from classified orthomosaics. You receive engineering-ready DWG files alongside the standard photogrammetric outputs — ready for design, permitting, or client handover.

How long does drone data processing take?

Turnaround depends on dataset size and required outputs. A small site (under 50 hectares, standard RGB, orthomosaic and DEM only) typically processes in 2–4 business days. A large site (100+ hectares, multispectral, full point cloud, CAD output) is usually 5–10 business days. We provide a firm delivery schedule before processing begins. For urgent projects with tight deadlines, contact us directly — we can prioritise processing capacity for time-sensitive deliveries.
